Splash Mountain – Full Ride Video!
Take a ride with us on the famous Splash Mountain ride at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. This video features views from the rear seat facing to the right, a unique view among typical POV videos. The video is recorded in stunning 4K at 60 frames per second on a GoPro Hero 7 Black using Hypersmooth stabilization.
Splash Mountain first opened in 1989 and the story is loosely based on the movie “Song of the South” and the folk tale “Br’er Rabbit Leaves Home”, though unique characters are featured throughout the ride. The ride had a construction budget of $75 million dollars and reportedly far exceeded that amount.
Two other versions of the ride have been built, one at The Magic Kingdom in Disney World Florida, and the other at Tokyo Disneyland. Both opened in 1991and both versions had lap bar restraints added in 2001 (unlike the Disneyland original).
